An Idea
I feel the interactions with the people I have had at the grocery store should not go in vain. I think it is very clear that people are trying to make connections and this calling should be recognized.
Today, I wrote to my general manager and the head of human resources that their grocery store is being visited by many people who are looking for more than food; they want to be acknowledged.
I suggested a Gratitude Line where people can go to check-out items without being rushed through. People would recognize that they might need to stand in line for a little longer but this would also provide them with the opportunity to connect with other people in line.
In my proposal, I included several interactions from this blog.
