The Cashier

Fernando is a tall stocky, bullish man with short cropped mustache and beard. As he talks, he smiles. “You know you have to check in with God first thing in the morning and right before bed. He will guide you and show you what needs to be done. Too many people are worried about tomorrow carrying that burden,” as he points to the hunched part of his shoulders. “When I wake up I thank Him for a good night sleep and for the journey We will be taking today.  Too many people only check in with God when they need something or when they are in trouble.  I talk with God and thank him for everything.  Talk to him like a good friend." He chuckles in between thoughts but his words show a guidance, an understanding that he relies on. He points to his heart, “You have to be true here,” as he looks to the heavens.
